Marketing is about getting attention from people around you. It’s about getting people to know your name. Simple, right? So how are you going to do that? The answer is through social media – Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram, Google+
All of these platforms are free, easy to use, and are some of the best tools you can use in your business. There is nowhere else you can go where everyone will know your name for free!
The very first thing I want you to know about marketing today regards attention. Get some. Let people know you. Let people know who you are and what you do. You’ve got to get people to talk about you. I want everybody to know me on social media. I want to be an authority on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter…all of these platforms that have been gifted to us for free! You need to use these things day in and day out; and you need to make sure that you are sharing things related to your business on your accounts.
The Six Figure Funnel
The six figure funnel is how every real estate agent can make six figures in a day or in a year. I don’t need to make contact with 2400 people a year. I need to make contact with 7 people a day. I need 7 people that didn’t know me yesterday to know me right now. Tomorrow, I need 7 more. Social media is where you can get started letting people know what you do, what your worth is, what value you add to their own interests.
Marketing is not an expense. Marketing is an investment! And you have to make sure that you are looking at it that way. You are going out there and investing. You are investing in yourself and you need to tell your story every day.
If you cannot spend money to invest in yourself, then you need to figure out another way how to get that business up.
